Fred Chin
Counselling Psychologist Associate
Fred works with adults experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, trauma-related concerns, and difficulties related to identity and life transitions. He has supported individuals across diverse contexts, including corporate settings, community populations, and those navigating complex personal and professional pressures.
Fred views therapy as a collaborative and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences with safety and curiosity, and gradually move towards greater clarity, emotional regulation, and personal resilience.
His approach is relational, client-centred, and trauma-informed, with a primary grounding in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He works alongside clients to understand patterns that contribute to distress, deepen emotional awareness, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and sustainable change. Fred also brings experience working with children and adolescents with special needs, individuals with neurodevelopmental differences, and adults experiencing high levels of psychological distress. His background in crisis support and psychological risk assessment informs a calm, reflective, and ethically grounded therapeutic presence.

Fred is currently completing his Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at York St John University (UK) and practises under professional clinical supervision. He is committed to ongoing learning, reflective practice, and providing thoughtful, compassionate care.
